WHEN NEURONS CAN’T RECYCLE: Understanding neuronal death in Mucolipidosis Type IV

Mucolipidosis Type IV (MLIV) is a devastating neurodegenerative disease affecting the recycling center of the cell. Scientists have identified a pathway that is malfunctional in MLIV neurons and that may be causing neurodegeneration.  One step forward in our understanding of MLIV disease for MLIV patients and for the rest of us!
